Heading into surgery

I have my surgery date for the stitching up of my meniscus. February 3rd. This gives me a little over 5 weeks to get myself in shape for it. It’s been a rough ride trying to maintain fitness with chronic pain. Certainly for the first 3-4 months, but recently there has been less pain. So I am able to cycle indoors and even do non-load bearing weights (seated bench stuff). My intention is to be in as good shape as possible going into the surgery. The idea being that the rehab will be easier if I have a level of strength and fitness going in.

I’m happy to document the next five weeks to see how well I can condition myself ahead of the surgery.
